Taybeh: a workshop about Violence for Second Grade Students

TAYBEH - The social department at the Latin Patriarchate School in Taybeh, organized a workshop for second-grade students, under the supervision of the social counselor Jamila Basir, about violence, how it is presented in a society that experiences it on a daily basis, how social media portrait it and other incidents that reflect violence, such as the games students play on the playgrounds and online, and how they affect their behaviors.

Basir gave students a simple definition of violence, that it is "any act that causes psychological or physical harm to others, including beating, causing problems, screaming, scrambling, and many others. At the same time, students distinguished between the concepts of physical violence and psychological violence. Psychological violence may often be more harmful to human beings than physical violence.

At the end of the meeting, students were able to express forms of violence in their own way by drawing and painting. The school administration thanks to the social counselor Jamila Basir for her important workshop. it helps students to understand the consequence of their actions and help to reduce violent acts and behaviors.
