Holy Family School in Gaza celebrates its 17th graduation ceremony

GAZA - The Holy Family School in Gaza celebrated the graduation of the 17th class, on Monday, April 22, 2019, under the patronage of Fr. Iyad Twal, director of the Latin Patriarchate Schools in Palestine and Israel, and with the presence of Fr. Mario De Salva, the parish priest of the Holy Family parish, Fr. Yousef Asa’d, Nivine Hakoura, director of the school, Muna Shuhaiber, director of the Latin Patriarchate School, Rosary Sisters, Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, representatives from the Higher education and parents.

The ceremony started with the presentation of several speeches written by students in Arabic and English, in which they reflected upon the school’s efforts in building their personalities and expressing gratitude to their teachers who continued giving despite the harsh situations in Gaza they went through. They also expressed their thanks for their parents, who are standing by them.

In her speech, Mrs. Hakoura welcomed the guests and parents and extended her thanks to Fr. Twal and Mrs. Abir Hanna, Executive Director of the schools.

The ceremony ended by honoring the employees who finished their teaching journey, who are Maher Hadad, Maha Zammo, and Izza Alwahedi. Also, the students Tala Hakoura was honored for winning in the Schools’ competition in drawing the logo. And Fr. Twal distributed certificates to the graduating students.
