BEIT JALA - Graduation ceremony of the 24th Tawjihi class

BEIT JALA: The Latin Patriarchate School in Beit Jala celebrated the graduation of the 24th Tawjihi class, under the patronage and the presence of Bishop Boulos Marcuzzo, Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jerusalem and Palestine and Fr. Iyad Twal, the Director of the Latin Patriarchate Schools in Palestine and Israel, with the presence of Fr. Ibrahim Shomali, Fr. Yacoub Rafidi, Fr. Hanna Salem, Fr. Toni Hayin, Fr. Salam Haddad, Rosary sisters, and other priests from Beit Jala. Also, Mr. Suhail Deaibes, the school principal, Mrs. Abeer Hanna, executive director of the Latin Patriarchate  Schools, Mr. Anton Jaraiseh, director of the Latin Patriarchate  School in Beit Sahour, Br. Daoud Kasabreh, Director of Frere High School in Bethlehem, also representatives from the civil society organizations and institutions in the city, school staff, educational and administrative teams, parents, students and other guests attended.

The ceremony was introduced by Mrs. Hanan Kharofeh, the social worker, who welcomed all the guests and graduates who walked in a procession, preceded by the scouts. their entrance was followed by the Palestinian National Anthem. then the student Fayez Maher read a reading from the Holy Bible. The ceremony included readings by the students, in which Rand Zghaier presented a welcoming speech, other students expressed their appreciation by presenting flowers for the bishop, general director, the minister of education, school principal, and Rosary sisters.

After the school’s choir sang the school’s anthem led by Mr. George Salsa’, the school principal addressed the graduates in his speech. he expressed his pride in the students’ results and encouraged them to continue their hard work. he urged them to carry their memories with them, their free spirit that knew love and giving. He congratulated the graduates and their parents and wished them a bright future. He also extended his thanks to Bishop Marcuzzo for his presence.

Students continued presenting their speeches in Arabic, English, and French, and they were: Sima Elias, Sandra Istephan, and Hanna Abu Muhur.

At the end of the ceremony, Bishop Marcuzzo, Fr. Twal. Fr. Salem, Beit Jala Mayor Nicola Khamis, Mr. Sami Morweh, director of Education and Mr. Suhail Deibes distributed certificates to the graduates.
