The Latin Patriarchate Schools – Al-Ahliyyah College in Ramallah proudly started its fourth annual Model United Nations Conference (ACMUN) on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the renowned Arab American University.
Father Dr. Yacoub Rafidi, General Director of the Latin Patriarchate Schools, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests at the opening ceremony. He highlighted on the conference importance, as a sign of the schools’ dedication to leadership and excellence. Father Rafidi emphasized that the event not only showcases the academic achievements of the Latin Patriarchate Schools but also plays a crucial role in developing future leaders and thinkers who will contribute to society and protect the nation. He praised the school’s administration, and he thanks Principal Mrs. Dima Moughnem and teacher Mrs. Rosy Afanah, for their outstanding efforts in organizing this important event.

Dr. Bashar Abu Zaarour, a well-respected expert in leadership, business, and digital transformation, gave a keynote speech emphasizing on the conference’s role in building students' leadership and communication skills. Dr. Abu Zaarour noted that the conference helps students improve their skills such as critical thinking and provides them with the tools needed to tackle global issues.
The conference reflects the Latin Patriarchate Schools' strong commitment to education and scientific progress. It aims to teach students important skills like English debate , scientific research, documentation, and report writing. Additionally, it promotes effective communication, respect different opinions, and acceptance constructive feedback.
With 150 students from ten schools across the country participating in this conference , that will take place over two days.
