The Latin Patriarchate School - Zababdeh marked the grand opening of its new cafeteria with a ceremony attended by key figures Father Dr. Yacoub Rafidi, General Director of the Latin Patriarchate Schools, and Mayor Mr. Ghassan Dweibis. The ceremony started with the blessin of the new facility led by Father Rafidi and Father Elias Tabban.
Father Elias expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful completion of the cafeteria project, recognizing their hard work from the initial planning to the final stages. He stressed on the importance of the new cafeteria in providing healthy, nutritious meals for students during their important growth years.
Father Dr. Yacoub Rafidi also thanked Dr. Boellhoff and his sister, Ms. Mechthild Boellhoff, for their generous donation for the cafeteria that is named on their honor.
The new cafeteria is a major enhancement for the Latin Patriarchate Schools, creating a comfortable space for students to enjoy their meals.
Dr. Boellhoff joined the celebration via video call , sharing his and his sister's happiness for the project's success. He emphasized that the cafeteria will be a vibrant space where students can gather, share ideas, and enjoy their time. Dr. Boellhoff also called for prayers for peace in the region and an end to the conflict in Gaza, and he expressed his desire to visit the cafeteria in person in the future.
As one of the largest schools in the Latin Patriarchate network, Zababdeh School will greatly benefit from the new cafeteria. It will offer a range of healthy meal options, moving away from unhealthy fast food, and provide a spacious area for student activities and events.
