Beit Jala: The Religious Education Department of the school organized a visit to St. Nicholas Elderly Home for eleventh-grade students, both scientific and humanities branches. The visit took place on Monday, January 27, 2014, aiming to instill the principle that every human has the right to live in love and harmony with their fellow beings. Accompanying the students were teachers of Christian and Islamic religious education, including Ms. Alice Abu Saada, Ms. Nada Hajazi, and Ms. Sally Qaisieh.
Upon their arrival, they were welcomed by the executive director of the home, Mrs. Raham Qanqour Jihshan, and the entire staff. At the beginning of the meeting, Ms. Sally Qaisieh introduced the students to the home, and in turn, Mrs. Qanqour provided a detailed overview of the home's importance in the local community, the governorate, and the nation. She elaborated on the goals for which the home was established and answered all the students' questions about the home and its significance for the elderly.
Subsequently, the students toured the various sections of the home, interacting with both male and female residents. They witnessed the daily operations and expressed the importance of the visit. The students engaged in singing and chanting with the residents, getting to know them and sharing conversations, evoking a heartfelt connection among our dear students.
Special thanks and appreciation to the management of St. Nicholas for warmly welcoming our students, especially the executive director, Mrs. Qanqour, for her respect and cooperation.
"May you honor your father and mother to live long years."
