Beit Sahour: Tenth and seventh-grade students recently visited the Environmental Education Center in Beit Jala, which addresses various environmental issues and their impact on social, cultural, and economic aspects of life. The center employs the best illustrative methods to provide environmental information, aiming to preserve the Palestinian nature.

During the visit, students were introduced to the center's sections:

Taita National Bird Monitoring Station: A unique scientific tool for specialized research on birds and biodiversity.

Natural History Museum: Housing over 2500 fossil samples and preserved specimens of various animals dating back to 1902.

Environmental Exhibition: Showcasing various environmental issues faced by Palestinian society, with the goal of enhancing environmental awareness and promoting the conservation of the environment.

Botanical Garden: Featuring dozens of native trees, flowers, and wild plants, especially those endangered, attracting the attention of researchers.

The students learned about Palestine's plant wealth, the importance of preserving trees and wildflowers throughout the year, and their role in biodiversity and ecological balance. They also gained insights into various bird species, reptiles, and animals, and learned about conservation methods to prevent bird extinction. The supervisor emphasized the importance of using natural substances like red pepper spray instead of chemicals to protect human health and preserve bird species.

This visit was an enriching experience, deepening the students' understanding of environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
