Inauguration of the New Building at the General Administration of the Latin Patriarchate Schools

General Administration – Ramallah: Under the patronage of His Excellency Bishop William Shomali, the Patriarchal Vicar, the new building at the General Administration of the Latin Patriarchate Schools was inaugurated in the presence of a delegation from the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher – Germany.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the General Director, Rev. Fr. Yacoub Rafidi, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, expressing deep gratitude to the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Germany for their generous donation. He emphasized that the new building represents a strategic step toward enhancing the educational environment, as it plays a vital role in enriching students' learning experiences, empowering teachers, and strengthening the efficiency of educational leadership. He also praised the efforts of the General Agency of the Latin Patriarchate in all its departments for overseeing the implementation of the project, and extended special thanks to Eng. Hussam Khoury, who supervised the construction work.

In his speech, Bishop William Shomali expressed great joy at this educational achievement and extended heartfelt thanks to the donors and supporters. He also commended the ongoing efforts of the school administration in advancing the educational mission and fulfilling the vision of the Patriarchate.

Mr. Ferdinand Gies, the representative of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher, also delivered a speech in which he expressed his pride in the Order’s contribution to supporting the new building. He affirmed their continuous commitment to supporting the Patriarchate’s educational and humanitarian projects.

The ceremony featured a documentary video showcasing the construction phases, as well as another video highlighting various aspects of the Latin Patriarchate Schools’ work. The event concluded with the patron of the ceremony blessing the new building and unveiling the commemorative plaque, marking the official opening to the applause and appreciation of the attendees.

The construction of this building aims to provide comprehensive services to support the schools. Part of the building has been allocated for staff offices, in addition to two fully equipped halls for meetings, workshops, training sessions, and various events. It also includes a spacious outdoor area that serves as a recreational space during breaks.

The inauguration was attended by Bishop William Shomali, the delegation from the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher – Germany, several heads of churches in Ramallah, a number of priests and nuns, the General Administrator Mr. Sami El-Yousef, a delegation from the Patriarchate including department heads, as well as principals of the Latin Patriarchate Schools in Palestine, principals of private schools in Ramallah, and representatives of the parish council of the Holy Family Church – Ramallah.
