World Health Day Activities Launched at Al-Ahliyyah college School – Ramallah

On Monday, May 5th, 2025, Al- Ahliyyah School in Ramallah launched its World Health Day under the supervision of Ms. Ghada Tannous, with the inspiring theme: “A Healthy Start for a Promising Future.” The school was beautifully adorned with educational and awareness-raising health activities.
The event was officially inaugurated by the school principal, Ms. Dima Mughannam–Kaibni, who opened the Health Exhibition organized by 11th-grade scientific stream students. The exhibition witnessed active participation and coordination with several key partner institutions, including:
• Augusta Victoria Hospital
• Medicare Laboratories
• St. John Eye Hospital
• Palestinian Medical Relief Society
This initiative reflected the school’s commitment to promoting community partnership between the education and health sectors.
Following a welcoming speech and a reflection on the significance of this global day, attendees toured the exhibition, which featured a wide range of informative stations presented by students and medical professionals. Topics included:
• Genetic disorders
• Healthy nutrition and balanced diets
• Risks of harmful habits like smoking and excessive sugar intake
• Medical check-ups (blood pressure, diabetes, vision screening, and blood type testing)
• Medicinal herbs and their benefits
• Eco-friendly alternatives to chemical cleaning products
• Clean renewable energy
• The importance of environmental preservation and its direct impact on public health
A special corner was dedicated to Dr. Malak Al-Basat, a proud alumna of the school and a practicing dentist, who shared her expertise in dental health.
