A Year of Growth, Innovation, and Impact: The Latin Patriarchate Schools – Palestine -Academic Year 2024–2025

In line with their educational and humanitarian mission, and with a deep commitment to foster well-rounded and balanced individuals, the Latin Patriarchate Schools – Palestine carried out a wide range of impactful activities during the 2024–2025 academic year. These initiatives, covering educational, social, cultural, spiritual, and athletic fields, helped enhance students’ personalities and develop their holistic skills.

1. Administrative & Organizational Initiatives

  • Beginning of the Academic Year: A new academic year began across all schools in a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere.
  • Health Insurance Agreement: The General Administration signed a health insurance agreement to ensure a safe and stable educational environment for staff.
  • Annual Parent Meetings: Meetings were held in various schools to strengthen school-parent communication and discuss shared goals and challenges.
  • Awareness Lectures: A series of informative lectures addressed key topics such as health, safety, and positive behaviors.
  • Unified Exams: Standardized assessments were conducted to ensure academic fairness and allow comparative evaluations.
  • Opening of the New General Administration Building: A new headquarters was inaugurated to reflect the continuous growth and development of the administration.

2. Academic & Educational Programs

  • Model United Nations Conference: Students participated in a simulation of UN sessions, fostering dialogue and diplomatic skills.
  • “Child Protection” Workshop: A training session for students and teachers focused on child rights and protection mechanisms within schools.
  • “Teachers Without Borders” Training: A specialized course improved pedagogical practices among elementary school teachers.
  • New Teacher Training Program: An induction program equipped new educators with the tools to integrate effectively into the school system.
  • Kindergarten Teachers’ Meeting: A training and reflection session promoted the exchange of experiences and best practices in early childhood education.
  • French Language Teachers’ Forum: Teachers gathered to evaluate student progress and develop improved instructional strategies.

  • Zababdeh School Choir Shines: The school choir delivered captivating performances, showcasing students’ musical talents.
  • Palestinian Heritage Day: Traditional events celebrated Palestinian identity through folk costumes, cuisine, and music.

5. Sports Activities

  • Sports Competitions: Football matches and other athletic events promoted physical well-being and teamwork.
  • Chess Championship – Michael Jarad: Student Michael Jarad secured first place in the Bethlehem schools' chess tournament.

6. Partnerships & Official Visits

  • Visit from the Palestinian Consulate: The General Administration welcomed an official delegation to strengthen institutional ties.
  • Visit by the Director General of Education: A visit affirming the Ministry of Education’s continued support for the schools.
  • Visit by the Coordination of Bishops of the Holy Land.
  • Visit by ACN Foundation to the General Administration.
  • Visit by the American Federation of Ramallah to  Ahliyyah College: The delegation learned about ongoing educational projects and expressed support.
  • Partnership Meeting with Finn Church Aid: Held as part of the “Together We Connect” initiative to promote peace education and shared values.

7. Awards & Recognitions

  • Carla Zaidan – First Place in the Reading Challenge: Recognized for outstanding literacy skills and winning first place in a regional competition.
  • George Al Shaer – Second Place in the Math Olympiad: Celebrated for his achievement in a governorate-level scientific competition.
  • Ms. Amal Salem – Best Christian Education Initiative: Honored for her creative and impactful teaching at the Beit Jala school.

8. Kindergarten Activities

  • Career Day for Kids: A fun, engaging event where children explored different careers through interactive learning.
  • Professional Development for KG Teachers: Specialized workshops focused on enhancing teaching in early childhood education.

9. Graduation & Student Exchange

  • School & KG Graduations: Heartwarming ceremonies marked the graduation of high school and kindergarten students.
  • Student Exchange Program – France: A select group of students participated in an enriching cultural and linguistic trip to France.
