As part of the Latin Patriarchate Schools’ ongoing commitment to developing educational staff and enhancing their competencies in psychological and educational counseling, a specialized training workshop was organized for school counselors from Latin Jifna, Latin Aboud, Latin Birzeit, Al-Ahliya College, and Latin Taybeh Schools.
The workshop was held on Monday, October 6, and Wednesday, October 8, 2025, under the supervision of Educational Specialist Ms. Kafieh Baydoun, with a total of 10 training hours.
The training covered several key topics, including:
1. How to interpret diagnostic reports for students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
2. Designing appropriate intervention plans, including behavioral and emotional support strategies within the school setting.
3. Understanding the impact of learning difficulties on cognitive, behavioral, and academic aspects.
4. Discussing real student cases and developing individualized intervention plans for both school and home environments.
5. Clarifying the role of school counselors, professional ethics, and the developmental and preventive dimensions of counseling work.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the crucial role of educational counseling in supporting students’ well-being and academic success, thereby contributing to a positive school climate and the overall quality of education.
