His Excellency the Consul General of France in Jerusalem, Mr. Nicolas Kassianides, awarded the Ordre des Palmes Académiques to the General Director of the Latin Patriarchate Schools in Palestine, Fr. Dr. Yacoub Rafidi, during a special ceremony held at the French Institute in Ramallah on Wednesday, 28 January 2026.
During the ceremony, Fr. Rafidi expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Consul General for this honor. He stated that this award is not only a personal recognition, but also a collective appreciation of the entire Latin Patriarchate Schools community in Palestine. He highlighted that the honor reflects the continuous efforts of school administrations, teachers, and students, and their shared commitment to education and excellence.
Fr. Rafidi also expressed his pride in receiving this official academic decoration, which represents the spirit of cooperation, dedication, and commitment to quality education.
