Jerusalem "You Are Not Alone" Campaign: Christian General Secretariat Schools Respond to President Mahmoud Abbas' Call

General Administration of Latin Patriarchate Schools

Jerusalem – Biet Jala: In response to the call by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to support our people in the besieged Yarmouk camp in Syria, the General Secretariat of Christian Schools in Palestine has initiated a campaign to collect donations from our dear students. The collected funds, generously contributed by the families of the students, will be handed over to the General Secretariat of Christian Schools, which will ensure their delivery to the relevant authorities for distribution to our brothers and sisters in the besieged Yarmouk camp. The aim is to support their resilience and humanitarian needs, recognizing their right to live as humans.

Aligned with our educational and humanitarian mission that emphasizes the common bond of humanity, the Latin Patriarchate Schools in Palestine, an integral part of the General Secretariat of Christian Schools in Palestine, also launched the campaign. The response from the students has been overwhelmingly positive, and we express our gratitude and appreciation to all for this beautiful and significant gesture.

Additionally, at the Latin Patriarchate School - Al-Ahliyyah College, the "Kilo" campaign has been successfully completed, with the collected donations handed over to support our brothers and children in the besieged Yarmouk camp. The donations were delivered to the relevant authorities at the Governor's Mansion in Ramallah. Special thanks and appreciation to the noble families for instilling such humane awareness in the upbringing of the future generation, emphasizing that true happiness lies in giving, not in taking.
