A delegation led by the Archbishop of Paris, Monsignor Laurent Ulrich, along with several French bishops and priests, and Mr. Jean-François, Director of the Catholic Schools Association in Paris, visited the Latin Patriarchate School in Beit Sahour. They were warmly welcomed by Father Issa Hijazin, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Church ,and the school’s principal, Mr. Anton Jaraysah .
The visit aimed to gain a deeper insight into the Latin Patriarchate School, which has developed exchange programs involving students, administrators, and teachers. The delegation also wanted to understand the difficult social, political, and economic challenges faced by the Palestinian people.
During their visit, the delegation was given an overview of the school's environment, its educational methods, and the range of activities it offers. They toured various classrooms and the kindergarten section, interacted with students, and met with the French language teachers. The teachers shared the difficulties of teaching French, both within the school and in the wider community.
