The Environmental Club at the Latin Patriarchate School - Beit Sahour organized an environmental awareness lecture under the title “Environmental Diversity in Palestine” for students in eighth and ninth grades, as a continuation of the Environmental Club activities planned for this year and under the supervision of teacher Heba Bannoura.
The students of the Environmental Club planned and arranged this activity, as Mr. Saed Al-Shomali, a representative of the Society for the Protection of Nature, provided a detailed explanation of biodiversity in Palestine, and clarified the official website of the Society (www.Mahmiyat.ps), in which he explains all the environmental information that can be benefited from. This is to learn about the types of biodiversity, including types of plants, birds, environmental paths, etc., which the school has decorated with its own environmental publications to increase students’ knowledge of them and their characteristics. This activity aimed to increase students’ awareness of interest in this diversity and discovering it around them.
All thanks to Mr. Saed for this valuable information that he provides to us, and thanks to teacher Heba Bannoura for her great activity and leadership of the Environmental Club in the best possible ways.
