Building Leadership Skills: How LPS-Beit Sahour’s Environmental Club is Shaping Future Leaders?

Latin Patriarchate School-Beit Sahour

Students from the Environmental Club at LPS-Beit Sahour recently took part in a leadership training program designed to enhance their environmental leadership skills. The program was organized in collaboration with the Environmental Education Center and led by teacher Heba Banoura.

As part of the training, Dr. Fouad Salman introduced students to the fundamentals of leadership and the key qualities of an effective environmental leader. The sessions also featured interactive activities, where students worked in groups to deliver presentations, helping them refine their communication skills, body language, and public speaking abilities.

To further develop their expertise, students were divided into specialized teams, including Environmental Researchers, Journalists, Leaders, the Bird Ringing Group, and the Biodiversity Group. Each team focused on different aspects of environmental awareness, from scientific research and environmental journalism to biodiversity conservation.

The Environmental Club has already put its training into action, launching initiatives such as the Bird Ringing Program and workshops on journalism and scientific research. These efforts aim to deepen students' understanding of environmental issues and inspire them to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives
