A Distinguished Initiative to Support Education

In a strategic step aimed to support the education sector and enhancing the scientific environment, a delegation from the American Federation of Ramallah, Palestine visited the Latin Patriarchate Ahliyyah College School on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. This visit was part of a broader initiative to empower educational institutions and equip them with modern resources.

During the visit, a generous donation was announced by Dr. Nidal Harb, a proud alumnus of the school currently residing in the United States. The donation will fund the renovation of the school’s science labs and the establishment of a new Entrepreneurship and Innovation branch — a significant leap forward in the technological and educational opportunities available to students.

School Principal Ms. Dima Mughannam warmly welcomed the delegation and praised this generous initiative, highlighting the urgent need to develop the school’s scientific infrastructure. She emphasized that the donation came at a perfect time and offered the delegation a detailed overview of the school’s pioneering role in Ramallah and the innovative programs it leads to foster a generation of conscious, creative, and scientifically and culturally empowered students.

Fr. Dr. Yacoub Rafidi, Director General of the Latin Patriarchate Schools, also welcomed the visiting delegation and extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. Nidal Harb. Representing him during the visit was his son, Mr. David Harb. Fr. Rafidi emphasized the significant impact of this donation on the school’s educational journey, noting that the school has produced thousands of graduates over the decades who have become pillars of society, with the school playing a crucial role in the advancement of education in the city.

In his remarks during the visit, Mr. Fadi Harb, President of the American Federation of Ramallah, Palestine, affirmed that the donation reflects a strong belief in the power of education to build a bright future for the coming generations. He noted that the development of modern science labs will enhance students' capabilities and help them keep pace with rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and technology, in line with global scientific standards.

Mr. David Harb also shared his father’s pride and joy in making this contribution, which stems from his deep loyalty to the school that shaped his personality and contributed to his success. He stressed that supporting the school’s labs is a direct investment in the future of students by providing them with practical, hands-on learning experiences that raise their level of knowledge and expertise.
